The Umanità Nova is a weekly Italian newspaper that deals with the anarchism apart sets. The newspaper is mainly read by members of syndicalist circles, but also by moderate readers.

history

Umanità Nova was founded as a daily newspaper on February 26, 1920 in Milan under the direction of Errico Malatesta . The circulation was around 30,000 in the first two years. Due to pressure from the fascists, the newspaper was converted into a weekly in August 1922 before being discontinued in December 1922.

From 1943 to 1945, 14 issues of Umanità Nova appeared as an underground newspaper with a circulation of 8,000.

The founding congress of the Federazione Anarchica Italiana (FAI) in Carrara in 1945 decided to publish Umanità Nova again as a weekly newspaper.
