Umberto Angelucci

Umberto Angelucci (born before 1967) is an Italian assistant director and film director .

Life

Angelucci has worked as an assistant director since 1967. Since 1970 he has worked in this role in all of Pier Paolo Pasolini's films, and has also worked with directors such as Costa-Gavras , Mauro Bolognini and Francesco Nuti . In 1989, together with Stefano Benni , he realized his only feature film, Musica per vecchi animali , for which both wrote the script. The original grotesque attracted the attention of the critics, who also criticized its proximity to television and cabaret conventions. The film received an honorable mention at the Annecy cinéma italien festival in 1989 .
