Bypassing Ioannina

The Periferiaki Odos Ioanninon ( Greek Περιφερειακή Όδος Ιωαννίνων , Ioanninas bypass, short ΠΟΙ) is the western bypass of Ioannina , the administrative seat of the Greek region of Epirus .

The road branches off at the National Epirotic Sports Center (Πανηπειρωτικό Εθνικό Αθλητικό Κέντρο) in the south of Ioannina from the European route 951 or national route 5 to the west. It then turns first to the northwest, after about 8.3 km to the northeast, crosses national roads 6 and 20 and ends at Ioannina Airport . The total length is about 11 km.
