Undercut ( engl. For undercut ) is the English name of a hairstyle in which the hair of the lower half of the head shaved , or is shortened, but the hairs of the upper part will remain (the so-called top coat). In a variation called sidecut ( Engl. For side cut ), the hair is cut on only one side of the head or shaved, the rest is worn long.

The haircut was popular as early as the 1920s to the 1940s. In the 1980s, the undercut was rediscovered as a trendy hairstyle and has been increasingly appearing again since 2011, both in men's and women's hairstyles. In the current form, which, analogous to the mullet, is sometimes also referred to as O (b) laSeku ("top long, sides short"), the top hair is usually many times longer than the hair on the side of the head; both levels are separated from each other by a strong contrast. The top hair is often carried to the side or combed up using styling products. In English-speaking countries, the hair style is also known as the “Hitler Youth Cut” (for example, “ Hitler Youth Cut ”).
