Hungarian observer badge
The Hungarian Observer Badge was an award for the activities of the Air Force of the Kingdom of Hungary , newly founded in 1938 under the Imperial Administrator and Head of State Miklós Horthy . However, this job badge was introduced in 1931 and was then worn until 1945. The award took place after passing the aeronautical observer training.
Appearance and wearing style
The badge is similar to the Hungarian pilot badge , but with the difference that the crown of St. Stephen is missing . Accordingly, it shows a gold-embroidered eagle with spread wings on a black cloth ground, whose height is 25 mm and width 100 mm. The eagle's head is decorated with red threads. It was worn above the right breast pocket. The same badge was also available for the service coat from 1931, but only 75 mm long and 20 mm high and was sewn onto the left lower sleeve of the coat.
