Unhoped is a Finnish death and thrash metal band from Varkaus that was founded in 2007.

history

The band was founded in late 2007 and consisted of guitarists Kalle Laanto and Aku Paasu, drummer Mikko Huisko, bassist Samu Parviainen and singer Lauri Viertola. At the beginning of 2010 a first EP was released with First Blood . During the recording of the debut album Die Harder , Jyri Luostarinen joined as a new singer. The album was self-published in 2011. After another EP under the name Nuclear Death in 2013 on Violent Journey Records , the second album Sonic Violence followed in 2016 on EBM Records .

style

Jeff B of seaoftranquility.org wrote in his review of Die Harder that this was Thrash Metal that was fast, aggressive and classic style. The group is mainly based on Thrash Metal of the 1980s in the style of Slayer and Kreator . The riffs are fast, the vocals are aggressive and the drumming is technically demanding. In his review of Sonic Violence , Deaddie from metal-temple.com stated that it contained Thrash Metal with a Death Metal influence. The music is aggressive with classic Thrash Metal riffs, the vocals are rough, with clear vocals occasionally being used.
