The International Union of Oenologists (French: Union Internationale des Œnologues (UIŒ.)) Is a registered association based in Paris and was founded on April 24, 1965 by the oenologist Gabriel Humeau. Founding members were the professional associations of Argentina, Chile, Spain, France, Italy and Portugal. Its headquarters are at the International Organization for Vine and Wine (OIV).

It is the responsibility of the association to promote and protect the common professional and economic policy concerns of oenologists and all related professional groups. In addition, to represent the interests of all members in a suitable manner. In the German-speaking countries, the “Association of German Oenologists” for Germany, the “Association of Austrian Oenologists and Wine Researchers” for Austria and the “National Oenological Association of Switzerland” for Switzerland represent the interests of the association as affiliated regional associations.
