Union des Démocrates pour le Développement (UDD, Union of Democrats for Development ) a political party in the island state of Comoros . She supported the government of Said Mohamed Djohar .

history

The party was led by Ibrahim Halidi and was based on Anjouan . She supported the government of President Said Mohamed Djohar . In the parliamentary elections in 1992, the UDD came second by votes and became the largest party in the Union Assembly with seven of the 42 seats. After the election, Halidi was appointed Prime Minister.

Before the early parliamentary elections in 1993, the UDD formed an alliance with the newly founded Rassemblement pour la Démocratie et le Renouveau (RDR) of Djohar. The RDR won 28 of the 42 seats in the Union Assembly.
