United States Court of Appeals for the Armed Forces
The United States Court of Appeals for the Armed Forces (abbreviations CAAF , CAAF or USCAAF ) is a federal court of the United States with unlimited jurisdiction over members of the United States Armed Forces on active duty and other persons who subject to the Uniform Code of Military Justice . The military tribunal consists of five civilian judges appointed for 15 years by the president with the approval of the Senate .
The court can only process appeals from the following courts: Army Court of Criminal Appeals, Navy-Marine Corps Court of Criminal Appeals, Coast Guard Court of Criminal Appeals, and Air Force Court of Criminal Appeals. Jump revision is not allowed.
The court was established in 1952 and is located in Washington, DC
