Universal multimedia access

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Universal Multimedia Access - UMA (literally "Universal Multimedia Access") is the ability of a system or application to consent to multimedia content from any terminal through any network. The UMA technology intends to provide users with different representations of the same information in a transparent form, adapting them to different terminals, access networks and user directions. The information is created only once and the UMA system is instructed to personalize the desired content in the fastest possible way.
