The Universidad Estatal Amazónica , UEA for short , is a public university in Puyo on the edge of the Amazon basin in Ecuador .
The college was founded in 2002 and was the first college in the Ecuadorian Amazon. In 2016, locations were opened in Nueva Loja and El Pangui . It offers its students university degrees in the following areas:
- environmental engineering
- Agricultural engineering
- Agro-industrial engineering
