The University of Basra ( Arabic جامعة البصرة, DMG Jaama'a Al Basra ) is the largest university in Basra , Iraq .

The college was founded in 1967 . In the 2010–2011 academic year there were 19,092 students and 2,563 employees. There are 14 departments that are spread across three university locations.
