Costa Rei describes a stretch of coast of Sardinia . It belongs to the municipality of Muravera . The coastline stretches for almost ten kilometers on the east coast of the island and is about 50 kilometers from the island's capital Cagliari . The Costa Rei is bordered in the south by the rocks of Punta di Santa Giusta and in the north by Capo Ferrato . The Monte Ferru is located on the Costa Rei.
In the main season , the Costa Rei is a popular tourist destination , which is visited annually by around 20,000 tourists, mostly of European origin. A new expressway connects the coastal area with Cagliari and thus ensures better accessibility.
