The University of Qatar ( Arabic جامعة قطر, DMG Ǧāmiʿat Qaṭar ) is a state university in the city of Doha in Qatar . It emerged from the older teacher training college. With around 73% of the 8,700 students in the 2010/11 winter semester, the university had a remarkably high proportion of women. In the 2013/14 academic year, the university had around 15,000 students. Despite the high quality offers of Education City , large parts of the Qatari academy continue to be trained at this university.

College of Sharia and Islamic Studies

An early college is the College of Sharia and Islamic Studies. Three of his professors were among the signatories of the Amman Message ( Amman Message ): Aisha al-Mannai (Dean of the Faculty of Islamic Law), Ali al-Qaradaghi (Faculty of Sharia) and Ali Ahmad Al-Salus (Faculty of Sharia).
