The Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM) (Northern University, Malaysia) in Sintok in the state of Kedah is a state university in Malaysia founded in 1984 . The university specializes in economics .

history

The current university was founded in 1984 as a state university specializing in management , education and information technology. In 1990 the company moved from the location in Tanah Merah in the state of Kelantan to a newly built campus in Sintok .

organization

The university's chancellor is an honorary post and is occupied by a well-known personality, while the university's full-time management is led by the vice-chancellor.

The university consists of the following colleges:

  • College of Art and Science
  • College of Business
  • College of Law, Government and International Studies
