The University of Kalamoon ( Arabic جامعة القلمون الخاصة, DMG Ǧāmiʿat al-qalamūn al-ḫāṣṣat ) is an accredited private university in Syria. Its headquarters are in Deir Atiyah , an-Nabk district , Rif Dimashq governorate between the Qalamun mountains and the eastern Lebanon mountains , about 88 kilometers north of Damascus city. The university was founded on August 18, 2003 and is the first private university in Syria. Its president is Nabil Na'im Al-Battal . In Germany she cooperates with the HU Berlin as part of the Tempus program .
