Wegerein-K

UnkrautEx was the trade name for a herbicide based on chlorates , especially sodium chlorate . WeedEx was a broad spectrum herbicide that was suitable for removing unwanted vegetation from embankments and paths.

Since UnkrautEx, as a preparation containing sodium chlorate, was a strong oxidizing agent , it was misused , especially in the form of a mixture with sugar , to make explosive devices . Today it is no longer available in stores in Germany, Austria and Switzerland.

In the GDR, a herbicide with a similar composition was commercially available under the name "Wegerein".
