The Untergut Egestorf

history

Today's Untergut lies east of the old village center of Egestorf. It emerged from a "free Meierhof ". As a ducal fiefdom, it was initially owned by the von Goltern and, after their extinction, from the von Alten family in 1558 . Since the Goltern had other property in the neighboring village of Helmerchingehusen , which later became desolate , and the areas there later belonged to the Untergut, the estate could originally have been located there.

By Goltern had the Grange in 1549 to re-purchase the wood Count sold Hans Cammit. The Holzgraf, and later his successor in office, Hans Huldersen, remained users of the farm among the von Alten family. After half of the farm was initially pledged, his son Erich Daniel Huldersen was the owner of the "Erb-Frey-Guthes" at the latest in 1629. Several fires in 1644, 1662 and 1668 destroyed the property that was subsequently rebuilt. Huldersen moved no later than 1664 in a newly constructed large "Pallatium" on the acquired on a late 16th century farmstead on the road to Nienstedt incurred Obergut . In the fires, the title deeds of the underground property were lost several times and had to be reissued. Legal complications arose after Huldersen's death in 1664. The owner of the Egestorf manor claimed that the lower manor had been illegally enlarged at the expense of the commons , which a specially appointed commission partially confirmed.

Multiple changes of ownership followed. In 1698, the landowner Wilhelm Bernhardt von Frohnhorst was granted all rights to a saddle yard . The owner of the upper estate finally bought the lower estate in 1843 and united the two.
