The NCO School in Treptow aR - 1903

The Treptow non-commissioned school on the Rega was a German non-commissioned school that came into being at the time of the German Empire .

history

The Treptow NCO School on the Rega in Pomerania was opened on January 1, 1901 as the seventh German NCO School.

The purpose was to provide the army's foot troops with junior officers.

The school was closed after the First World War due to the Versailles Treaty , but continued to operate as a police school between the 1920s . At the beginning of the Second World War , probably as early as 1935, it was reopened as a NCO school for the Wehrmacht . The commandant's house is at the center of the former Wilhelm-Strasse, while barracks and school buildings are grouped in a large square around a parade ground.

Since the city of Treptow ad Rega was hardly damaged until 1945, the building complex was completely preserved, as you can see on Google Maps. The function of the complex today is unclear, but since the former parade area has now been paved, military use is possible.
