2005 European Underwater Rugby Championship

The 8th Underwater Rugby Championship took place in 2005 from June 6 to June 11 in Helsinki ( Finland instead). 6 women's and 10 men's teams competed for the title in Pirkkolas Sport Park . For the first time, Italy was also at the start with a women's and a men's team. Defending champions from 2001 were Germany (women) and Sweden (men).

After the finals on Saturday, June 11th, the Norwegian women (6: 1 (4: 1) against Germany) and the Finnish men (2: 0 (0: 0) against Norway) were the European champions 2005.

The German teams finished the tournament as runner-up (women) and fourth (men).
