The Church of St Thomas the Martyr in Upholland

Up Holland is a village and civil parish in District West Lancashire the British county of Lancashire . It is about 5 kilometers east of Skelmersdale and 7 kilometers west of Wigan . The name differentiates the community from Downholland , 15 kilometers to the west ; Both places were owned by the Holland family until 1534 .
