Upper (drugs)

Upper are drugs with a stimulating effect, i.e. substances that drive away tiredness ( wake you up ). While the current literature speaks of stimulants or stimulants , in the drug scene and colloquially these are more commonly referred to as "upper" or "pushers". However, pusher is also the name of a drug dealer and can therefore be misunderstood.

These include both legal drugs such as caffeine , nicotine and ephedrine , but also illegal amphetamine- based stimulants . It is estimated cocaine just as important as the methamphetamine or different ring-substituted phenethylamine derivatives such. B. MDMA or MDA (both also known under the name Ecstasy ).

The well-known Uppers also include many legal drugs such as Ritalin , Captagon or AN1 , which are often misused for party purposes and to party through the night.
