Uroplakin-2 is a surface protein from the group of uroplakins .

Uroplakin-2 is part of the asymmetric unit membrane (AUM) of the urothelium . It is made in the ureter . It is cleaved by proteolysis after two basic amino acids (position 83 and 84) and is glycosylated .
