Cause & Effect has been a quarterly magazine since it was founded in 1991 . It was first relocated in Austria ; since July 1, 2019 in Germany. According to its own information, the magazine stands for “a spiritual life direction and a cosmopolitan, non-religious Buddhism ”.

General

As an independent magazine in German-speaking countries, cause & effect deals with relevant topics in the areas of society , health , spirituality , ecology , culture and politics from a Buddhist perspective. Peter Riedl was the founder and publisher up to issue 108 . Hendrik Hortz has been the publisher and editor-in-chief since July 1, 2019. Cause & Effect is published quarterly, with a circulation of 10,000. The magazine thus reaches an active readership of around 30,000 people. Cause & Effect appears in Germany , Austria and Switzerland , but is also sent to many other countries.

In the past, permanent staff included the writer Heinz Pusitz and the philosopher Volker Zotz , who was also the editor-in-chief of this magazine from 1999 to 2000. The artist Thilo Götze Regenbogen was at times a regular employee of the magazine.
