Usha (Galilee)
Usha (also Usha ) was an ancient settlement in the lower Galilee that became an important center of rabbinical theology in the 2nd century AD .
According to Jewish tradition, a synod was held here on legal issues, which mark an important stage in the development of the Halakha .
In addition, Usha was for some time the seat of Rabbi Simeon ben Gamaliel II and the training center for Rabbi Jehuda ha-Nasi , who was trained here by Rabbi Jehuda ben Ilai .
