Ute Hofmann-Auhagen

Ute Hofmann-Auhagen (* 1956 or 1957) is a German entrepreneur . She headed Auhagen GmbH from 1993 to 2019 . She is the daughter of Rudolf Auhagen jun. and granddaughter of Rudolf Auhagen sen. and great-granddaughter of the company's founder Heinrich Auhagen .

Life

In 1993, Ute Hofmann-Auhagen took over the company Auhagen GmbH from her father. Extensive extensions to the Marienberg -Hüttengrund production site were carried out under her leadership . In 1996, the VERO model railway accessories production in Olbernhau was bought and the products were taken over into the company's own range. Under her leadership, Auhagen again became the market leader in the new federal states and offers a complete range of TT buildings. After a flood in August 1999, the reconstruction was used to demolish old parts of the building that were at risk of flooding and to build more spacious production facilities. With the future-oriented introduction of computer-aided planning, all models were designed in the PC from 2000 onwards. In 2000 Ute Hofmann-Auhagen received the “Grand Prize for Medium-Sized Enterprises” from the Oskar Patzelt Foundation .

Under her leadership, the company received the Model of the Year award for a product in 1998, 2000, 2001, 2002 and 2004 .

In addition to her business activity, Ute Hofmann-Auhagen is a member of the “School-Economy Working Group in the Middle Ore Mountains” and deputy chairwoman of the “Saxon Model Railway Producers eV” association.
