The Utva C-3 Trojka ( Serbian - Cyrillic Утва БЦ-3 Тројка ) was a trainer aircraft made by the Yugoslav manufacturer Utva .

History and construction

The Utva C-3 Troika was a light trainer aircraft developed in Yugoslavia shortly after World War II as a result of a government competition to equip flying clubs with a country-built aircraft. The winning design was submitted by Boris Cijan and Dragoslav Petkovic , and the prototype was built by Ikarus as Ikarus 251 . The serial production took place at Utva under the designation C-3 . The aircraft was a conventional low wing aircraft with a fixed tail wheel landing gear . The teacher and student sat side by side in a closed cabin with a sliding roof. The model was produced until the mid-1950s.
