Uwe Bonik

Uwe Bonik (born September 11, 1964 ) is a former German soccer player . He played 23 games in the 2nd Bundesliga .

Life

Goalkeeper Bonik moved in the summer of 1983 from the A-youth of Hamburger SV  to FC St. Pauli  in the Oberliga Nord . The HSV initially refused the release, only shortly before the start of the 1983/84 season was the right to play. Since Klaus Thomforde  , who was also new to the team, suffered from a thumb injury, Bonik, who was training to be an insurance salesman , was in the starting eleven against Eintracht Braunschweig Amateurs on the first match day . The game in the Millerntorstadion was won 5-1. Bonik played 26 major league games for St. Pauli in the 1983/84 season. He was with the team Oberliga runner-up, in the subsequent promotion round he made the jump to the 2nd Bundesliga.

Bonik was in the first second division game (2-0 against Oberhausen ) after promotion in the goal in August 1984 . In 1984/85 he made 23 appearances in the 2nd Bundesliga.

From 1986 to 1988 Bonik played for Altona 93 in the Oberliga, 1988/89 in the same league for SC Concordia Hamburg .
