Uwe Finnern (born April 2, 1952 ) is a former German soccer player .

The trained commercial clerk began his career as a midfielder for Rot-Weiss Essen in the Regionalliga West. With this club he rose to the Bundesliga in 1973 and played 38 Bundesliga games over the next three years (without scoring).

In 1976 he moved to the 2nd Bundesliga North to Bayer 05 Uerdingen , but only made four appearances in the second division in the first season. A year later, however, there were already 33 games in which he scored four goals. In the 1978/79 season he played a further eleven second division games (one goal) for Krefeld before moving to Alemannia Aachen during the season and playing another 21 second division games. By 1981 he played a further 42 second division games for Aachen, making a total of 111 second division games and five goals. For Aachen he also played 2 games in the DFB Cup . He later played for Schwarz-Weiß Essen .
