Uwe Göllner

Uwe Gert Göllner (born February 14, 1945 in Friedrich-Wilhelms-Hütte ) is a German politician ( SPD ). From 1996 to 2005 he was a member of the German Bundestag .

Life and work

After attending elementary school, Göllner completed an apprenticeship as a chimney sweep and then worked in this profession. He passed the exam to become a master chimney sweep, later became a district chimney sweep and was a member of the Cologne chimney sweep guild. Furthermore, he had joined the AWO .

Political party

Göllner has been a member of the SPD since 1967. From 1989 to 1995 he was again chairman of the SPD local association Troisdorf and from 1990 to 2005 chairman of the SPD sub-district Rhein-Sieg. In 1995 he was elected to the district executive committee of the SPD Mittelrhein . From 2003 to 2006 he was a member of the state executive committee of the NRW SPD, as well as of the federal party council.

MP

Göllner was a member of the German Bundestag from February 12, 1996, when he replaced the deceased MP Ulrich Böhme via the North Rhine-Westphalia state list , until 2005. From 1998 to 2005 he represented the constituency Rhein-Sieg-Kreis I in parliament as a directly elected member.

Public offices

From May 1975 to April 19, 1993 he was deputy mayor, then from April 19, 1993 to October 6, 1998 honorary mayor of the city of Troisdorf. Since October 2009 he has been chairman of the SPD parliamentary group.
