Uwe Inselmann

Uwe Inselmann (born June 4, 1958 in Lüneburg ; † December 7, 2002 there ) was a German politician ( SPD ).

After graduating from high school in 1978, Inselmann first worked in various professions before studying political science, economics, public law and education from 1980. Before he was elected to the state parliament in 1990, Inselmann was the managing director of a large children's and youth association. He was a member of the education and science union , the Arbeiterwohlfahrt , the Falken , the BUND , the Lüneburg Old Town working group and a member of the Society of Friends of the Summer Music Days Hitzacker eV Inselmann was married and had three children.

Inselmann had been a member of the Young Socialists and the SPD since 1979, where he held various offices. From 1991 he was chairman of the SPD sub-district of Lüneburg. He became chairman of the supervisory board of the waste management company and a member of the administrative board of Stadtsparkasse Lüneburg. From 1986 he was councilor and from 1991 mayor of the city of Lüneburg. In the same year he was elected to the district council as a member of the district of Lüneburg. Inselmann was a member of the Lower Saxony state parliament from June 21, 1990 until his death .

Uwe Inselmann died completely unexpectedly on December 7, 2002.
