Uwe Rosemann

Uwe Rosemann (born February 7, 1953 in Halle (Westphalia) ) is a German librarian . From 1998 to 2016 he was director of the Technical Information Library (TIB) in Hanover.

Life

Uwe Rosemann passed his Abitur in spring 1971 at the district high school in Halle / W. from. From autumn 1971 to 1977 he studied mathematics with a minor in sociology at Bielefeld University with a diploma. After a brief activity as a research assistant, he trained as a research librarian from April 1978 to March 1980. Rosemann began his professional career in 1980 as a specialist in mathematics and computer science at the Bielefeld University Library . In 1990 he became the department head for library use and library technology. In 1993 Rosemann moved to the then University Library of Hanover and the Technical Information Library as Deputy Director. From 1998 until his retirement in 2016 he was its director.

Rosemann is co-editor of the magazine for libraries and bibliography .
