Uwemedino Akpan Abasiono (born December 15, 2000 ) is a Nigerian hurdler who specializes in the 400 meter distance .

Athletic career

Uwemedino Akpan Abasiono gained her first international experience at the 2018 African Championships in Asaba , where she finished sixth in 60.57 seconds. The following year she reached fourth place in the Junior African Championships in Abidjan in 60.44 s. At the end of August she won the bronze medal at the African Games in Rabat in 57.66 seconds behind the Kenyan Vanice Kerubo Nyagisera and Lamiae Lhabze from Morocco.

In 2019 , Abasiono became the Nigerian champion in the 400-meter hurdles.
