Víctor Hugo Hernández (born May 19, 1986 in Zamora , Michoacán ) is a Mexican football goalkeeper.

Career

Hernandez went from the youth department of the Club Deportivo Guadalajara forward and made his debut in the Mexican Primera División for his hometown club on 27 September 2008. As at that time actually only the third goalkeeper of the professional squad, he came on the tenth day of the Apertura 2008 calculated in a clásico tapatío against used local rivals Atlas Guadalajara and enjoyed a 1-0 victory for his team. He also played all seven other games of Apertura in 2008 as well as the remaining five games of his team in the Copa Sudamericana : the second leg at Athletico Paranaense , which was won 4: 3 (after a 2-2 in the first leg) and the quarter-finals with the river Plate (2: 1 and 2: 2) and the semi-finals against eventual tournament winner SC Internacional (0: 2 and 0: 4). Due to his solid performance in these missions, he had worked his way up to the second goalkeeper before the start of the second half of the season ( Clausura 2009).
