V1494 Aquilae

V1494 Aquilae was a nova that lit up in the constellation Eagle in 1999 and reached a brightness of 5.03 mag . It was discovered on December 1st, 1999 by the amateur astronomer Alfredo Pereira from Capo Da Roca ( Portugal ).

The part of the name "V1494" follows the rules for naming variable stars and states that V1494 Aquilae is the 1494th variable star that was discovered in the constellation of eagle (Latin Aquila ).
