VCMG is a musical project by the British Vince Clarke and Martin Gore , which was founded in 2011 and has so far released one album ( Ssss ) and three EPs ( Spock , Single Blip and Aftermaths ).

Career

School friends Clarke and Gore founded the band Depeche Mode in 1980 together with Dave Gahan and Andrew Fletcher . A few months later, Clarke left the band, but was able to celebrate successes with other projects such as Erasure and Yazoo . In 2011, Clarke contacted Gore to work with him on a minimal techno album. Everyone produced for himself in his studio, an exchange only took place via the Internet. Ssss was finally released in March 2012, the EPs Spock (November 2011) and single Blip (February 2012) were released (initially exclusively on Beatport ), followed by Aftermaths in August 2012 .

The name VCMG not only stands for the initials of the two members, but also for " Voltage-Controlled Modulation Generator ", a component in synthesizers .
