VDI 3814

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The guideline VDI 3814 was created in the technical building equipment department of the Association of German Engineers and is written in German and English.

VDI guidelines are recognized rules of technology and have the character of recommendations. In the event of damage, it is not uncommon for experts to base their assessment of liability on whether the guidelines have been complied with.

The guideline VDI 3814 describes in several sheets the state of the art in planning and setting up building automation . The first sheet of this guideline appeared in 1977. Under the main title "Building Automation (GA)", the current sheets describe: -Requirements for facilities, software and services -Display options for tasks for automatic control and regulation, monitoring, optimization and operation and management of the Technical building equipment. The guideline has been continuously expanded over the last few decades and parts of it have been incorporated into the globally applicable ISO 16484 standard .
