Vaimanika

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Vaimānika (also Vimānavāsin ) is a Jain group of gods. The Vaimanika form the lowest of the four classes of gods:

  1. Bhavanavāsin
  2. Vyantara
  3. Jyotiṣka
  4. Vaimānika

They inhabit moving palaces on the different floors of the Loka-Purusha heavenly world . Within the Vaimanika, a distinction is also made between the Kalpabhava and Kalpatita .
