Sacred Books of the East
Sacred Books of the East is a monumental 50-volume series of English translations of Asian religious writings edited by Max Müller and published by Oxford University Press between 1879 and 1910 . It contains the most important sacred texts of Hinduism , Buddhism , Daoism , Confucianism , Zoroastrianism , Jainism and Islam .
From 1997 to 2008 all volumes were brought into electronic versions and are accessible online.
