The Red House (formerly “Vaistlihof”) is a landmark of the main town on Fürst-Franz-Josef-Straße. This late medieval stepped gable building with its tower can be seen from afar.
The Red House in Vaduz belonged to the Vaistli between 1400 and 1500: The house was acquired by an heir of the Vaistlis in 1525 from the St. Johann monastery in the Thurtal valley and the associated Wingert has retained the name “Abtswingert” that resulted from this until today.
