Val Rutter
Val Rutter (actually Valerie Joy Rutter, née Harrison; born October 30, 1954 ) is a former British high jumper .
In 1974 she was starting fifth for England at the British Commonwealth Games in Christchurch . At the European Athletics Championships in Rome , she was eliminated in qualification.
At the 1978 Commonwealth Games in Edmonton, she was seventh.
In 1974 she became English champion. She set her personal best of 1.83 m on June 19, 1974 in London .
