Valentin Meilhaus

Valentin Franz Meilhaus (baptized February 14, 1744 in Kiedrich ; † after 1807) was a German merchant and member of the imperial estates of the Kingdom of Westphalia .

Life

Meilhaus was the son of Ludwig and Gertrud Meilhaus. He married Maria Dorothea Fromm, the daughter of Martin Fromm and Anna Martha Degenhardt. His brother-in-law Carl Fromm also became a member of parliament. Meilhaus was a wine merchant and partner in a textile factory in Heiligenstadt . In the 1790s he acted as an adjunct to his father-in-law Martin Fromm , who was land rent master and member of the rural tax deputation at the land tax office in Eichsfeld . Later he was a land rent master in Heiligenstadt himself. In 1810 he moved from there.

From June 2, 1808, Meilhaus was a member of the imperial estates of the Kingdom of Westphalia for the group of merchants and manufacturers in the Harz department . His whereabouts are unknown.
