Valhall (oil and gas field)

Valhall is the name of an oil and gas field that lies far off the Norwegian coast at a water depth of 70 meters. The extraction of the field, discovered in 1969, began in 1982 and is intended to exhaust the available reserves by 2050. The leading company is the international energy company BP . The name Valhall refers to Valhall , a term known from Norse mythology .
