Valiollah Mohammadi

Valiollah Mohammadi Nasrabadi (born January 30, 1962 , Persian: ولی‌الله محمدی نصرآبادی) is an Iranian diplomat.

Career

Mohammadi holds a Masters degree in Political Science.

In 1988 Mohammadi joined the diplomatic service of Iran. From 1990 to 1993 he was deputy head of the second division for African affairs in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. As head of the "Interest Section", Mohammadi was in Johannesburg ( South Africa ) from 1993 to 1994 . This was followed by the position of deputy head of the mission in the Iranian embassy in Pretoria until 1998. Back in Iran, Mohammadi was again deputy head of the second department for African affairs until 2002, then until 2004 director of the first department for African affairs. From 2004 to 2009 his first service as Iranian ambassador to Ghana , based in Accra, followed .

From 2009 to 2011, Mohammadi was Deputy Director General for South and East African Affairs and then Director General for African Affairs. From 2015 to 2019 he was Iranian Ambassador to Jakarta , responsible for Indonesia , East Timor and ASEAN . The appointment took place on March 17th, 2015. The accreditation with the ASEAN took place on July 24th.

Mohammadi speaks Persian, English and Arabic. He is married and has two children.
