Heinz Pöppe

Heinz Pöppe (born August 12, 1896 in Bochum ; † June 7, 1963 there ) was a German locksmith and politician ( KPD ).

Pöppe attended elementary school and advanced training school. He worked as a locksmith in Bochum. Politically, he joined the KPD and was a city councilor in Bochum for them from 1924 to November 1929. From 1926 to 1929 he was also a member of the Ruhr parliament of the Ruhr coal district settlement association . From February 1926 to January 1930 he was a member of the Prussian State Council for the KPD .

After the Second World War he became a member of the city committee of Bochum in August 1945. On January 2, 1946, he was elected to the city council. Among other things, he was responsible for economic development.
