Vallarheiði was the name of the area in the southwest of Iceland , which the Iceland Defense Force had used.

It is located in Reykjanesbær municipality on the Reykjanesskagi peninsula . The area borders Keflavík Airport to the east and lies south of the cities of Njarðvík and Keflavík . After the US armed forces left Iceland in September 2006, the buildings were put to another use and in April 2009 the area was renamed Ásbrú . The Reykjanesbraut and Hafnavegur lead into this area.
