Van Leeuwen is a Dutch steel pipe trading company based in Zwijndrecht . In addition to classic steel pipes and shut-off valves , flanges and fittings , the company also sells bar and profile steel .

The Van Leeuwen company was founded in 1924 by Piet van Leeuwen. In 1947 the first foreign branch was opened in Belgium, which was followed by a large number of locations around the world in the decades that followed. In 2019 Van Leeuwen took over the steel trading division Benteler Distribution of the Austrian automotive supplier Benteler International AG. The Benteler Distribution division recently achieved an annual turnover of over 750 million euros.
