Vancouver Peninsula is a small town in the Australian state of Western Australia . It is about three miles from Albany as the crow flies on the other side of King George Sound . The only residential building in Vancouver Peninsula is the summer camp Camp Quaranup on Geake Point.

Vancouver Peninsula belongs to the traditional settlement area of ​​the Aboriginal tribe of the Mineng . The name refers to George Vancouver , a British officer and explorer who was the first European to visit the bay in 1791. The Vancouver Peninsula was originally part of Frenchman Bay , which was split up in 2000.

Vancouver Peninsula is located on the Vancouver Peninsula , which is part of the Torndirrup Peninsula and protrudes from this about five kilometers into the bay.
