In March 1912 Voiculescu made his debut with a poem in the Romanian literary magazine Convorbiri Literare . A collection of poems was supposed to be published in 1916, but they were destroyed during the First World War during the German attack on Bucharest. In 1918 he published Din ţara zimbrului .
