vbw Association of Baden-Württemberg Housing and Real Estate Companies

The vbw Association of Baden-Württemberg Housing and Real Estate Companies eV was founded in 1909 as the Association of Württemberg Housing Companies eV in Stuttgart. In 1993 he merged with the Association of Badischer Wohnungsunternehmen eV, founded in 1912 and based in Karlsruhe, to form an interest and auditing association. The vbw is based in Stuttgart.

Member companies

The vbw has around 300 member companies. Municipal housing companies provide a good third of this. The other association members are spread over 200 housing cooperatives as well as factory-affiliated housing companies, housing companies of the building societies and social organizations (churches, VdK).

The member companies manage a little more than 456,000 apartments and have around 6,500 employees.

Fields of activity

The vbw is an auditing and interest representation association. He advises his member companies on legal and economic issues. Through its subsidiaries, it offers services such as tax advice and accounting (WTS Wohnungswirtschaftliche Treuhand Stuttgart GmbH), advanced training and advanced training (AWI Akademie der Wohnungs- und Immobilienwirtschaft GmbH), advice on insurance and financing issues (AWTS-Assekuranz-GmbH Insurance and Financing broker) and internet support (casadomus AG). The board is represented by the chairman of the association, Peter Bresinski, the association director, Dr. Iris Beuerle and Audit Director Gerhard Schorr.
